When drying, plum wood tears from the outside towards the core, as the sapwood shrinks more than the heartwood. In the photo you can see the decorative cracks in the sapwood, which no longer change.
Cherry 21.2 cm
A cherry made from cross-grained wood from Germany with a generous, curved edge of the bark on the lid. The silky smooth wood is contrasted by the haptically interesting bark elements in the lid.
