A few words about the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) of 25 May 2018
In 2018, the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) became mandatory, so here are some explanations concerning our website.
On our website all functions can be used without registration.
Only when buying an item in the online shop personal data such as the postal address for shipping, possibly a separate billing address and account information for processing the payment temporarily stored. We delete your account information, if received for direct debits, after use. We do not store any address data after shipping, not even with the service partner DHL.
The processing of the payment via a credit card is handled by our service partner betterpayment.de Berlin. We do not have access to your credit card information. Only your credit card provider and bank will receive your purchase information. About the processing of this data, which of course takes place on legal basis, you can inform yourself directly at betterpayment.de Berlin.
We send a newsletter once or twice a year. For this we store a collection of anonymous e-mail addresses in a mailing list of our e-mail client Thunderbird on our own computer. We deliberately abstain from processing programs, newsletter tools (such as MailChimp) that store your data on servers outside the EU, and newsletter tracking or analysis programs, because the benefit as a marketing tool is low for us.
We do not use a comment function on our website that could save any data. To avoid ambiguity in the use of data, there is no link to social media such as Facebook on our pages. We do not use and support analytics tools like Google Analytics.
Our website is hosted (stored) at the Berlin service provider Strato.de. We do not use any additional analysis tools there that could store personal information. The only information we receive through our website is anonymous clicks per month.
Our website runs as a free theme with the Content Management Software (CMS) WordPress and the online shop with the shop plugin WooCommerce. The shop software stores names, addresses and, if applicable, account data of completed purchase transactions. We delete these at regular intervals, but at least after the end of the calendar year.
There are many misconceptions about the use of cookies on websites. Cookies are small pieces of textual information that most of your browser stores on the user’s PC. Cookies are used to store information associated with a website locally on the computer for some time and to re-transmit it to the server upon request. This allows the user to customize the website for himself. Cookies can also be used to authenticate visitors and they are used to store a Session ID. We do not have personal access to data from cookies.
For users of our online shop, a cookie is used for the short-term storage of a shopping basket. The online shop remembers the items that a customer has placed in the virtual shopping cart via a cookie. Without this technique, the use of the online shop would not be technically possible.
Of course, if you do not want this, you can also order all articles by e-mail, telephone or post. Cookies are usually stored on the user’s computer. We have virtually no personal access to the information provided by the cookies. You can regulate or delete the use and storage of cookies in the settings of your Internet browser.
You have the legal right at any time to demand the disclosure of your personal data and a complete deletion. For the security and deletion of your data, we vouch personally. Of course, we do not pass on any data to third parties.
